What to do in Toronto Islands at night?

We will be taking the ferry to see the skyline, but not sure what to do after that? What are fun things to do at night on the Toronto Islands?

Toronto Islands is a place mainly for beaches, walking or cycling, sports and nature trails. There are three ferries you take which either go to the West (Hanlan's Point Beach), Central (Centre Island Ferry Dock) or East (Ward's Island), or you can take a private water taxi.

All of the island attractions like Centreville Amusement Park, Gibraltar Point Lighthouse, Far Enough Farm and any shops I believe are all closed around 5pm, except the restaurants The Rectory Cafe and Island Cafe which are open a few hours later on weekends. The ferries continue running until midnight most days but that's primarily for the residents who live on the island and those who enjoy a good night swim at the beaches. Do remember if you're going to the island especially around dusk to bring bug repellant - the mosquitos can be a bit annoying!

From time to time during the summer they host small music festivals on the island and there is an artist centre retreat but you'd have to check out for the specific dates you'll be travelling if you'd need tickets or whatnot.

Here is a link to a really great map that will show you everything the island has to offer

Hope that helps!
