Any suggestions re local internet listed apartments which are not on ski-france.com or booking.com (i.e. not tighed by payment of commission to them)?
Need a budget apartment for 2.
Travelling there 3-10 January 2015.

The only one I know of is Pierre & Vacances Premium L'Ecrin Des Neiges. I can't find there site but I think you can book it here: http://www.pierreetvacances.com/gb-en/fp_TIL-H_apartments-tignes-ecrin Absolutely charming little apartments.
