We have a family of 5 including 3 teenagers (15, 17, and 19) and a small dog. We will be driving 2 cars over a period of 1 week from Sacramento, CA to North Houston, TX with our first stop in Temecula, CA to visit family then plans for additional stops at Grand Canyon and Carlsbad Caverns in NM mid-June. This will be our first real family road trip. Feedback? Advice? Trip route?
