Popular areas in Tampa for shopping?

Where are good areas, malls, or streets in Tampa for shopping? Looking to find some local shops for gifts, but would also love some designer or larger stores for clothes. Thanks!

Hyde Park Village is a good spot...

Ybor City is a good spot as well for eclectic shopping...

Downtown St. Pete / iLovetheBurg.com has some good shops...

If you just want a good mall, International Plaza and Bay Street has the best options...

There are also some good spots in Soho and Palma Ceia....

Loved International Plaza and Bay Street, like Geroge said, really good shops here! I love wandering through the Parkesdale Farm Market in Plant City. The BEST strawberries here, seriously they were so fresh. Surf Down Under is a unique place, super beachy and great for swim suits and any other beachy kind of clothes. Columbia Restaurant Gift Store is the best place to buy gifts and Rustic Steel Creations is an awesome gallery if you're into art. Have fun!

University Mall would be the best area for a ton of shops all close by to each other. It's recently renovated so it's super nice with a ton of great shops. I really like Channelside Bay Plaza, they have local vendors and its also a really good area for night life :) I've gotten my dad cigars from there and other little trinkets. It's a good area for gifts! The Shops at Wiregrass is another great spot for department stores. It's actually a really pretty mall, with streets to browse through close by. A good spot for local attraction. Have fun :)

International Plaza and Bay Street has every store from high-end department stores to Tiffany's, Restoration Hardware and small boutiques.  It's super trendy and is connected to Bay Street where you can find dozens of very cool bars and restaurants.

Hi Jennifer! Great to have you here in Tampa! As far as designer/larger stores, head over to International Plaza and Bay Street. It is located near the airport and you will find all the large department stores and some designer shops as well. If you are looking for some local areas to shop head to Old Hyde Park Pl in South Tampa, or over to West Tampa Ybor City for some historic Tampa flare.

Hope this helps and enjoy Tampa!

Check out Hyde Park Village for a cute outdoor shopping area. Several restaurants, and local stores as well as larger retail stores (Anthropologie, Paper Source, West Elm, PotteryBarn etc.) For shopping on a larger scale, check out International Plaza and Bay Street (large mall with high end designers and several department stores including Nordstrom and Neiman Marcus)

International Plaza and Bay Street Mall is near the Tampa International Airport. There you'll find retail stores such as Louis Vuitton, Swarovski, Cole Haan, Nieman Marcus, Dillards, Apple, Tumi, Tommy Bahama, Burberry, Crate and Barrel, Nordstrom, Mont Blanc, & Tiffany. A few minutes from this mall is Westshore mall. The second major mall of this area - Westshore Plaza great dining is right there such as PF Chang's, Michell's Seafood market, Seasons, etc...

Hyde Park is a cute and small neighborhood with some nice shops just south of downtown Tampa. There you'll find the only Lululemon Athletica retail store in the entire Tampa Bay area. If you don't know what lululemon is, they are the ones who invented the Yoga pants. The whole village is a nice place for expensive shopping and semi-expensive dining. If you choose to dine there, I highly recommend Piquant Hyde Park.

Ellenton - That's the main outlet mall for those living in the bay area with many major names, though it's 45 miles away (all interstate) from Tampa Airport, in case you're interested.

Hope this helps.
