Murray's Buses! Student discounts available sometimes, look on the Pokitpal app. Costs somewhere around $25 to $40 return depending on when you book.

It would undoubtedly be the bus. Companies like Greyhound advertise fares for around A$29. There is also a train but it stops at a lot of stations and takes a bit longer, on average.

Hitchhiking would be the cheapest. Sharing a car with a friend would be the second cheapest on fuel costs.

You can get a bus or a train for $30-$50 and a discount flight will be $80-$130.

Naturally, there will be sales that will often halve that price but they can be rare as nobody really goes to Canberra unless its for business, meaning there isn't a real need to compete for low prices.
