Best restaurants around Sydney?

I'm finally going to Australia and going to be spending a majority of my time in Sydney! I'm a big foodie so I want to know where the best restaurants are? It doesn't have to be anywhere expensive (but mention it if its worth it!), and i'm open to all places like desserts and hole in the wall spots. Thanks!

Sydney has some amazing restaurants, particularly in fine dining but there are a few precincts you should head to where you can find some good, reasonably priced food. The famed Bondi Beach is one of them. Try Sean's Panaroma but explore Campbell Parade for some other up and coming options. Potts Point is a great area for lots of little hole-in-the-wall cafes. The city has come alive with some great bars. Try Stitch Bar Grasshopper Eating House and Bar The Baxter Inn - all within a short walk of each other. The Ivy precinct also has reasonable bars and restaurants - the pool bar there is a bit of a hangout.

For something a bit more upmarket (but not as expensive as the fine dining restaurants) try Cafe Sydney. Ask for a table on the terrace and you get a pretty good view of the Harbour Bridge.

There are some excellent fine dining restaurants - Sepia Restaurant, Quay and Momofuku Seiōbo. Quay is right on the water with amazing views, but these can be blocked if there's a cruise liner docked - literally right outside the restaurant's windows.

One of the Sydney 'staples' is Doyles on the Beach Restaurant at Watson's Bay. It's a bit touristy but a very lovely spot to sit and enjoy some fine seafood and wine.

Almost everything is tasty in Sydney ! I also recommend Cafe Sydney for its location and view, although food can be mixed sometimes ! Still a very good restaurant, but not the top ten in sydney if you know what I mean ! But I used to love to go there for the whole experience ! Another restaurant I went a lot and loved is Est. The food is great, I love the setting of the restaurant and the service is very nice ! Very memorable ! Also go to Icebergs Dining Room and Bar at Bundi beach for lunch for the view ! And The Boathouse on Blackwattle Bay at Balmoral Beach - the beach and the boathouse cafe / restaurant is a must if you go to Sydney ! The boathouse has a cafe where they serve breakfast, lunch and dinner - walk in only, I have eaten numerous times there as I used to live near there, all good, love the breakfast especially. The restaurant take reservations, very romantic at night !

Another eatery I love a lot is Mamak (Haymarket), the best Maylasian food in Sydney. Everything is so good - must order roti canai, Ayam berempah !

Check out the kings cross and Darlinghurst area, Hundreds of eating places in surrounding streets. Try gelato messina, kirtisch for deserts,, so many good restaurants there too, have a look at the trip advisor app , it's the best way.
