Heading to Surprise, AZ this spring for about a week. What can we (myself and my two daughters, 19 and 21) NOT miss? Would like to know about the local shopping spots not to miss, yoga outside, hiking, ... other suggestions welcome. Thanks!
The closest interesting thing near Surprise is White Tank Mountain Regional Park. Decent hiking and views - you might spot a few animals. I'd also keep going toward Wickenburg. The Vulture Mine is pretty fun. In Surprise itself, and honestly most of the West Valley ... well, you don't have much there that's "can't miss."
If you're into theater at all, there's a cool little place called Brelby Theatre Company. It holds only about 50 people, but they get really creative in there. The surrounding area has lots of oddball little shops, too. There's a great Vietnamese place called Little Saigon that's worth a visit. For yoga, there's a place called TRUE HOT YOGA ARROWHEAD RANCH and some other Bikram Yoga place (I like my yoga hot). Those would be high on my list.
