Alisa, you can't go wrong with  Magens Bay Beach.  Its not undiscovered, but it is definitely a great place to laze, swim, sun, etc.  I personally would recommend renting a SUP (stand up paddle board) and paddling out to some better snorkeling areas further away from the main beach.

In St. John,  Waterlemon Cay is a really cool experience.  It is located within Leinster Bay which has great snorkeling all around.  The most direct way to get to Leinster Bay is is by hiking from the Annaberg Ruins parking lot (about a mile) and then you can swim out to Waterlemon Cay. The hike itself is great and the bay at the end is fantastic.  Otherwise, you can get there from  Cruz Bay by dhingy.

St. Thomas and St. John are both so beautiful! If you are staying on St. Thomas, I would definitely recommend taking the time to see and explore St. John as well.

One of my favorite days on this trip was when we booked a private boat to get out on the water for some sun, snorkeling, and adventure! We found a great company through  The Westin St. John Resort and Villas, and for three people it wasn't too expensive.

Our captain, Trevor, took us to several great snorkeling spots as well as a few island places to grab lunch and beach it. One of my favorites was the  Soggy Dollar Bar located on  Jost Van Dyke Island. The only way to get there is to jump in and swim to shore (hence the name soggy dollar!). Another great native spot is Sidney's Peace and Love to sip on an island cocktail and enjoy some lobster. It was a fun, relaxing way to see the sights and explore the area!
