St. Louis

What do locals like to do around St. Louis?

Going to be spending a week in St. Louis with my siblings. We want to see the city locally and not hit any touristy spots. What do young, twenty something locals like to do? Places to eat and go out? Best activities?

Just saw this on the news--a mini-bus tour of craft breweries!  Take a Segway tour of St. Louis. Go City Museum on Washington Ave. for daytime fun and in evening on the same street, visit the "loft district", restaurants, ice creameries, bar area or cruise the street to look at iconic architecture. Try The Grove a new trendy entertainment area.  For BBQ try Sugarfire Smoke House where you can find a St. Louis favorite meat cut "pork steak."  If you're a mid-century fan, Tropicana Bowl will satisfy. International Photography Hall of Fame has well curated shows; it's also in a district with other galleries, modern taverns, restaurants, and other 20-somethings (university neighborhood).  no matter your age, if you like broadway shows go to the outdoor MunyTheater. Want a short trail hike--Powder Valley Nature Center located in the STL county has a two trails under 6 miles and an air conditioned nature center with big windows for watching or learning about wildlife.
