How to arrange football tickets in Spain?

In the beginning of September I am planning to spend three weeks in Spain to visit the area of Seville, Madrid and Valencia. I am a big football fan and i would love to see a match either in Seville, Madrid (Real/Atletico/Getafe) and/or Valencia. It is easy to buy tickets for a match when i'm in the city or do you recommend to buy it before? Moreover do you need to be a member of a club to buy a ticket (like here in the Netherlands or in the UK)?

It's relatively easy, even to buy Real Madrid tickets. We bought online from The prices were reasonable (I think we paid around €45 per ticket) and got really good seats about 5 rows from the front) You get a booking number which you use to pick up your tickets from the Adidas shop in the Bernabeau. If you are a huge football fan and also like Barcelona football club you can not only get Barcelona tickets (if you go to that part of Spain) but you can also stay in Bodega Iniesta, Andrés Iniesta's vineyard in Fuentealbilla - a little bolt-hole for two which can be booked for a night or two!

In Valencia, anyone can buy a ticket. The lines at the ticket counter can be long - crazy long - and some games do sell out, so I'd lean towards getting the tickets early, but that's just me. It is usually possible to get them last minute.

You can get them at the official Valencia CF website. It's English version is very well done and easy to navigate.

"Entrada" means ticket.
