Slovenia  is very diverse country. On the north there are mountains - Alps with the tallest peak Triglav. Slovenians belive if a slovenian does not climb on the Triglav at least once in his/her life he/she can not be a slovenian :-)

Bled. Take a walk around the lake or take a boat to the island with the Assumption Church where you can ring the bell for good luck. And A MUST  for you is to try Kremšnita (creamcake), it is cake that tastes the best in Bled.

From Bled take the bus to the Bohinj. From where you can take a hike to Savica waterfall or to Mostnica stream. Rent a kayak and explore the lake or go rafting to Sava Bohinjka river.

The capital of Slovenia is Ljubljana The most interesting part of Ljubljana is the old town. Križanke, Dragon Bridge; Central Market, Triple Bridge, Prešernov Square, National and University Library of Slovenia - works of slovenian architect Plečnik. In front of the University there is Park Zvezda with it´s famous Kavarna in slaščičarna Zvezda. There are also free tours of the old town every day at 11 am in front of the pink church on the Prešeren squere.

Take a funicular or hike to the Ljubljana Castle and climb to the lookout tower  for magnificent view of the city and the mountains in the distance.

If you like alternative music and art you should visit Metelkova ulica. Metelkova has also a great night life, my friend would say that is the la la land:-)

The old town is great place to eat. The farmers on the market sell fresh vegetable and fruit from monday to saturday. There is a lot of bars and restaurants. If you would like to try traditonal slovenian food i would suggest Gostilna Sokol

Slovenia is most famous for it´s caves. Most known is  the Postojnska jama Cave Grotte Höhle but my favourite ones are Škocjan Caves and DivačaWhile you are in the Karst region try their red wine - teran or refošk.

In the south there is Adriatic sea . Visit the port Piran. with the Tartini Square, The Museum of Underwater Activities Piran and my favourite  one  the Aquarium Piran. Take a hike to the Town Walls or Strunjan cliff  for a beautiful view. Or take a bike to the Sečovlje salt pans.
