Depends on the ages of your children and what they like to do. Some ideas below.

Sentosa Island is a great family area. it has a beach where you can swim, a local wave machine where the kids can try to bodyboard or surfing, universal studios which is amazing fun for all , the luge, and lots of great great parks, cafes and few shops etc. Singapore Zoo but do the night zoo for something different, there's lots of entertainment as well East Coast Park this is where the locals go to bike ride and roller blade,  you can either picnic or there's plenty of great places to eat by the beach. The riding stretch is very long and especially prepared so its ver safe. You can rent equipment from dozens of places on this stretch Jurong Bird Park is also beautiful.

I lived in SG for 6 years and had 2 little boys during most of my time there.  Absolute must for families in the Singapore Zoo.  It's incredible and the animal environments are really well designed.  A couple of tips: have you and your kids bring your bathing suits & towels as there's a water park at the far end that is really fun.  It's also very hot and humid and you'll be walking a lot so it's nice and refreshing to cool off. Also, when you get there plan your route so that you catch feeding times. When they feed the tigers and lions they often roar which is great, and the polar bear feeding is a lot of fun too b/c you can sit and watch the bears swim through an underwater aquarium wall.  Note that it takes about a 25-30 min cab ride out to the zoo from downtown.  To avoid long taxi lines on the way back, call the local taxi number to order a taxi when you're 15 minutes away from leaving.

Another fun thing to do is to take the ferry to Pulau Ubin (Island) and rent bikes and bike around the island.  They have tandem bikes which are pretty fun. It's pretty rustic so it's a nice escape from the City and you can grab a casual bite at one of the many little spots on the isle or pack a lunch.

Of course, there's Sentosa Island. There's the Universal Studios Singapore and you wouldn't want to miss that. There's also the Underwater World and Dolphin Lagoon Singapore and other attractions kids will definitely love.

On the east side, there's Jurong Bird Park, the Singapore Zoo and the Night Safari - all these the children will surely love!

Usually people go to Universal Studios Singapore for a whole day movie- theme park adventure.
Operating hours from 10AM-7PM
One Day Pass Tickets S$74 fro adult & $54 for kids (4-12yrs)
Tip: Once you got in, try the Transformers ride first. Usually it has the longest queue and waiting time. Also try the Jurassic Park Rapids Adventure - it's an exciting ride but you must be prepared to get wet! ;)

If you love animals, then you must check out these different theme parks: Singapore Zoo, Night Safari, River Safari, Jurong Bird Park.

Then since the weather is hot this month, why not try the Adventure Cove Waterpark at Resorts World Sentosa.

You have to be very very careful to pay any taxes on Cigarette, alcohol, etc. that you bring from another country. I got stopped and questioned at the border for having a cigarette lighter(2 inches long) in the shape of a gun. They stopped me for 30 minutes and missed my bus because of it.
