Where exactly is the Gum Wall?

I know a lot of people think it's gross, but I want to leave a piece of gum there!  The last time I went to Pike Place Market, I couldn't find it.  I'll be coming back to Seattle soon and would still like to find it.  Any more specific directions as to where it is?

Did you go downstairs at all?  The Seattle Gum Wall's a little hidden away and actually under the Pike Place Market, but really easy to find.  Here's what to do:

  1. At the very entrance of the Pike Place Market, walk up the cobblestone road
  2. You'll see the famous flying fish market, and a big bronze/golden pig statue, walk towards that.
  3. To the left, you'll see a staircase that leads downstairs -- take it
  4. Turn left when you get downstairs
  5. Leave your ABC on the wall :P

Mentioned in this answer:

  1. Pike Place Market (attraction)
  2. Seattle Gum Wall (attraction)
