Unless BA has self-bag-drop machines at Seattle Airport (unlikely, imo) I doubt you'll be able to check your bags before the usual time i.e. 3 hours before departure.

The airport website states that there is a luggage storage facility. Click 'Storage' on this page:

    https://www.portseattle.org/Sea-Tac/Passenger-Services/Pages/default.aspx

The cruise terminal also offers baggage storage on cruise days:

    https://www.portseattle.org/Cruise/Services/Pages/default.aspx

I think it would be worth phoning beforehand to check the storage options I've mentioned.

I have on occasion taken a hotel at the airport to nap until time for my plane (your luggage could come with you)

The other option is to book a limo or a guide in Seattle and after you get through customs and arrive in civilization with your luggage have the limo driver give you a Seattle tour for a couple of hours and then drop you at the airport about 4:00.

The Seatak airport is quite a way out of town - it is not in Seattle.

Even if the cruise ship gets in at O-Dark-30, you will probably not be able to get off if you have significant luggage until 10 or 11 o'clock - late flight means that you will probably be the last off. The only way to get off right after the ship clears (probably about 8) is to carry all your luggage yourself. After you get off, you collect your luggage and go through the border controls - immigration and customs.

After that if you take the ship's shuttle to the airport, you will find that the bus will wait until it is full to leave and that they will probably drop you off at the airline area that most people are using. By the time you get off the ship, go through customs, get on the shuttle, get to the airport, collect your bags and carry them to the BA counter, it will be time to check in.

If the ship has an excursion for Seattle which includes dropping you at the airport that would be the only way I would try to do anything in Seattle except getting myself and luggage to the airport.

As Mary indicated, there is baggage storage at the @Seattle Airport. I have used it and it is great. However, it is a 30 minute drive from the cruise port to the airport. If possible, I would try to store luggage at the cruise port or see if the cruise line has a porter service that will check bags for you. If not, you might find the goodwill of a hotel bell desk that will hold the luggage for you while you explore downtown Seattle. Have fun!
