Lizzie from McAllen asked

Best sushi restaurant?

Heading to Sao Paulo and have been hearing a lot about the Japanse sushi scene there. I know I should be having Brazilian food, but I love sushi and I'm really curious about what it's like in Brazil! What's the best sushi restaurant in Sao Paulo? Budget is not an issue, just want the freshest places to go!

Sao Paulo

In Sao Paulo there's a lot great Japanese restaurants.
In my opinion the bests are:

Jam Warehousehttp://www.jamwarehouse.com.br/

Nagayama: http://www.nagayama.com.br/

OHKA: http://www.ohka.com.br/

All with beautiful people and great sushi!!!!

Welcome to Sao Paulo!!!!

I've been to Sao Paolo a couple of times and a really good hole-in-the-wall is Jinroku. It’s a very unassuming spot, but the food is really fresh, moderately priced and the service is excellent. If you want to go more upscale, I would try Kinoshita. Great food and it has a very mellow vibe. If you want a really authentic experience, they do have tables where you can sit on the floor. I know they change the menu daily but if they have it, try one of their truffle dishes—they’re amazing.

Jun Sakamoto is also incredible. Try to sit at the bar so you can see the chef preparing the food—it’s like watching Picasso paint. Not cheap by any means, but wow, the food is incredible. This is real perfection, although a much smaller menu than Kinoshita. Well worth the splurge in my opinion.Enjoy yourself!
