Restaurant suggestions in Santiago?

I will be visiting a good friend of mine in Santiago this Fall and I want to surprise him and take him to a nice dinner. What are some great food recommendations? Looking for more fine dining, thanks!

There are different criteria to choose a restaurant. Without knowing your tastes, I would suggest Le Bistrot, Baco and Le Flaubert (all french) in Providencia neighborhood. Very close (cerro San Cristobal)  also you can go to La Bomba del Divertimento Chileno, with good chilean plates

  1. Le Bistrot (restaurant)
  2. Baco (restaurant)
  3. Le Flaubert (restaurant)
  4. La Bomba del Divertimento Chileno (restaurant)

iam a foreign living in Chile for almost 20 years, and i like to eat in restaurants of all kind.. in my opinion one of the best options for a great chilean restaurant is ¨Aquí Esta Coco¨, its specialty is seafood and the place have many decorations about the sea and the south of Chile (chiloe). Its owner is a famous chilean chef with 40 years of experience.. well for now its my best recommendation i can tell u.. have a great dine! :-)

Hello, I recommend you Tanaka or Ichiban....look at the websites.....Anyway, there are a lot of restaurants in Santiago for fine dining, it depends on the budget. Osaka for example is great, but very much more expensive (maybe not for you as you're used to NY prices). If you want to ask for a particular one, don't hesitate. Regards.

  1. Ichiban (restaurant)
  2. Osaka (attraction)
