My bestie and I are headed to Santa Fe for Labor Day weekend and we're looking for a hotel with a spa, or at least, a great hotel and a great spa. Thanks!
Ten Thousand Waves on Artists Road is on the way to the Santa Fe Ski Basin. I have never been (sorry, I'm just not a spa girl) but good grief every female I know in the area adores this place. Just know you will be 'au naturale' a good chunk of time as it is a true Japanese spa.
Rosewood Inn of the Anasazi is outstanding but spaless. La Fonda Hotel off the plazza is great but also spaless. Inn and Spa at Loretto is a beautiful place and very centrally located so you can walk pretty much anywhere you'd want to in Santa Fe and that is important as parking is sparse, pricey and it's an old town that is tricky to drive in.
El Monte Sagrado Resort is also outstanding, but not in Santa Fe. It's in Taos, but worth the drive.

On the hotel front, Rosewood Inn of the Anasazi is a beautiful one that's fitting of the landscape. They don't have a spa, but offer in-room massages.
If you want to make the drive up to Taos there is an awesome place called El Monte Sagrado Resort It's pricey, but really nice and very authentic to the area. I've only eaten there (a couple times) and toured the property. Spa is very relaxing and ground are unreal... but you'll pay for it. A great splurge.
