Katie from Los Angeles asked

Best free things to do in Santa Fe?

I'm going to be in Santa Fe next month and will be on a pretty tight budget. I'm looking for the best free and inexpensive things to check out! I love the outdoors, art, museums, you name it. Thanks!

Check out The Santa Fe Artists Market and The Santa Fe Farmers Market. For food eat at Harry's Roadhouse for breakfast try their blue cornmeal waffles or lemon ricotta pancakes, get drinks and stuffed sopapillas at Tomasita's. Walk the Plaza and Canyon road and visit The Museum Of International Folk Art.

Santa Fe is a beautiful city to walk around in. Take a tour of the historical churches including Cathedral Basilica of Saint Francis Loretto ChapelSan Miguel ChapelSan Francisco de Assisi ChurchOldest House Museum. For $12 you can visit the Georgia O'Keeffe Museum which has some of her beautiful works inspired by her life in Santa Fe (New Mexico) and beyond. Have a nice coffee & pastry at The French Pastry Shop (only takes cash)  and a wonderful breakfast or lunch sopapilla (must try New Mexican cuisine) at Tia Sophia's which usually closes after 2pm.

You are in the right place! For sure check out The Cathedral Basilica of St. Francis of Assisi and Santa Fe Plaza, the Santa Fe Railyard Arts District and Canyon Road. So much to see. Check out All Trails for a ton of hikes in the area.

Museum hill, walk around the plaza, walk up alameda parallel to the santa Fe river, take the rail runner passenger train (about 9$), visit the farmers market and artisan markets...
