Andrea from Portland asked

Accommodation (resort/spa) in Sante Fe?

Planning a weekend with my best Gal Pal in Santa Fe. Hopping to find a resort/spa with spectacular views for a long weekend of pampering. Suggestions?

Santa Fe (New Mexico)   New Mexico (NM)

If your focus is the spa and views go with Ojo Caliente Mineral Springs Resort & Spa or Ten Thousand Waves which are both just outside the city and their focus is the spa experience.  If you want more centralized in the city try La Fonda Hotel or Inn and Spa at Loretto which are both in the downtown/plaza area of Santa Fe.

Inn and Spa at Loretto is beautiful, has an award winning spa and is perfectly located downtown if you want to play tourist. Ten Thousand Waves has made it into the top lists in spa magazines for years. It's in the mountains and offers a serene getaway, with Izanami, their restaurant, on site. It has an excellent sake list and authentic Japanese cuisine. Some also like the Eldorado Hotel & Spa Santa Fe that has an in house spa and is located near the famous Santa Fe Plaza.

Great answer, Catherine! Thanks for sharing your tips :) I wanted to let you know that we've helped you geo-tag the places that you mentioned in your answer so that they appear on a map next to it. You can also do this yourself in future answers by simply typing the @-symbol and then the name of the place as you're typing your answer. Check it out above!

not too sure about Santa Fe spas, but if you're up for exploring a bit, El Monte Sagrado Resort was really nice when I was there a few years back. Worth a day trip or spending the night up there imo. good luck!
