You definitely cannot miss going to a typical Lechonera (mountain eatery) in Guavate or spending a fun day in Crash Boat Beach. There are scenic hotels you can't miss either like Villa Cofresi Hotel Rincon, El Conquistador Resort Golf Club or even Hacienda El Jibarito

Casa Lola is run by chef Roberto Trevino, one of the few Iron Chef competitors in Puerto Rico. We had met him a while back when he was executive chef over Dragonfly restaurant, which although I haven't been there since he left was absolutely heavenlyDragonflyBarrachina is the home of the pina colada, so worth a visit and the food is nice too. Ostra Cosa is also one that I really enjoy, excellent food.

Also, possibly quite surprisingly, the chinese food in Puerto Rico is just shy of amazing.

The guy that sells hand-rolled cigars at San Juan Marriott Resort & Stellaris Casino on your way to the beach is pretty epic!

Also, La Placita on Friday and Saturday nights is where all of the locals go. Hit up Santaella first for dinner and drinks (below) then just walk outside and BOOM, you're at La Placita. Drinks should run about $3 around La Placita and you can find Puerto Rican cigars for $1. Santaella
