SF Restaurant suggestions--not in far reaches

1) a good dim sum place

2) restaurant(s) at/near Ferry Bldg $$ to $$$--not doing Agricole/white napkins & like this visit; not driving; solo,1st wk in June;eclectic tastes; veg OK but not ethical issue. Enjoy wine but not $XXX. and up; good by the glass spot would be nice.

Not sure about Dim Sum, but recommend MarketBar and Coqueta for dinner & drinks as they both offer everything you've outlined and are at/near the Ferry Building.

Enjoy! :)

Hi Jim,

For dim sum, I personally think Yank Sing Restaurant (or Yank Sing) is the best (within walking distance from Ferry building).

As for other restaurants I would suggest Cotogna, great italian food with wines by the glass (not fancy, closer to $$$). For an indepth review: www.eatandescape.com/restaurant-reviews/cotogna

La Fusion is another option, latin fusion ($$) with wines by the glass (they also have sangria if you like that). For what to order : www.eatandescape.com/restaurant-reviews/la-fusion

Both of these are within a 7 minute walk from the Ferry Building.

Hog Island Oyster Co., Inc is in the Ferry building and it always a crowd pleaser. The grilled cheese, po boys, clam chowder and oysters are the most popular items.

Enjoy!

Barbacco is a good solo place easy walking distance from the Ferry Building.  Reasonable Italian menu, although their wines by the glass are a little expensive.
