Mountain biking in winter?

We are going up to Tahoe with a group of 10 for a long weekend in March. In addition to snowboarding, we want spend a day or two mountain biking if possible. So what's the best area to stay (near biking trails) and if anyone has good rental shops that would be great too.

Truckee is a solid central location if you are looking to ski/board and bike. Depending on the weather you can ride in Truckee on trails like Emigrant on 89N about 5 miles north of town. There are also trails nearby in Reno and Grass Valley off HW 20. From Truckee you can ski  Squaw ValleyNorthstar California ResortAlpine Meadows Ski ResortSugar Bowl Ski Resort and  Boreal Mountain Resort all within 15 minutes.

The  The BackcountryPacos Bike and Ski and Cyclepaths are good bike shops, which should be able to give you good advice on what is ridable.  Tahoe Dave's Skis & Boards is a great place to rent ski's/boards.
