Looking for a place to get a light lunch with interesting ambiance in Hayes Valley.
Suppenküche is a fun German restaurant and the food is quite good. I don't think I've eaten soup there, but they have it on their menu. I have eaten dinner here several times. Seating is in the style of "a traditional German Wirtshaus", where you will be seated at long tables with people you don't necessarily know. It's popular, and there is often a wait, at least for dinner. Looking at their website, it doesn't look like they serve lunch, except brunch on Sundays...
La Boulange de Hayes!! Then stop for some Schulzies Bread Pudding + Coffee after. See our complete SF Guide here!
