Best Chinese restaurant for groups in Chinatown?

Hi! Looking for the best Chinese restaurant in Chinatown for a group of 10+. Doesn't matter if it's touristy, just good and authentic.

I commented on someone else's answer, but I wanted to reiterate my plug for Hunan Home's Restaurant. They cater to large tour groups, so you should be able to book a spot for your group without too much trouble. Their food is consistently outstanding (consistent over the 30 years we've been going there), and the brother and sister who own it are always warm and friendly, as was their father before them.

Most restaurants in Chinatown are on the small side, and fitting 10+ people will be a challenge, especially during the busy hours. The ones that come to mind that could comfortably fit that many people are R & G Lounge and Hong Kong Clay Pot City Restaurant.

R & G is a solid restaurant with good seafood. It's on the pricier side for Chinatown. Hong Kong Clay Pot is very authentic, and relatively cheap. But getting a table there could be a challenge since they don't take reservations.

There is also Yank Sing Restaurant which has good dim sum on weekends. It's a little outside Chinatown but is big enough to easily fit 10+ people.

For dinner, check out R & G Lounge. They don't serve dim sum though.

Also, if you you have time check out Golden Gate Bakery for their egg custard tarts. You'll have to wait in line, but this place is practically an institution in Chinatown- been around for ages!

I have been with a large group to House of Nanking and Hunan Home's Restaurant.  The food at both places is great.  House of Nanking is a little touristy, so depending on the day, you might have a long wait in line for a table.  Hunan Home is a little more off the beaten path, so you might have less of a wait and more space for your group.

I love both R & G Lounge(which has been mentioned here a few times already) and Yuet Lee.  Yuet Lee is a good late night destination.

Yank Sing Restaurant in the financial district is huge and well staffed. Great Eastern Restaurant on Jackson in Chinatown has two full stories of dining and is very authentic.

New Tsing Tao Restaurant

One of the best Chinese restaurants in the city. West Portal neighborhood. First-rate staff. Large groups or small groups -- we always bring our out-of-town friends here if they crave Chinese food. Enjoy!
