Will be traveling in a SUV to MI 2 people, 2 dogs. Tent camping off grid in Nov. best campgrounds, best sights to see, prefer small towns to big cities. Experienced traveler prefers nature over cement. All advice welcome. Thanks. (I have 13 days for a round trip)

1st stop is Grant's KOA Journey. This is a 10 hour drive
2nd stop Mesalands Dinosaur Museum in Tucamcari, NM.
Camp at Elk City/Clinton KOA Journey.  This is a 6 hour drive
Camp at Tulsa NE/Will Rogers Downs KOA This is a 4 hour drive.
Horse Cave KOA Holiday. This is a 10 hour drive
Coloma/St. Joseph KOA Holiday. This is a 6 hour drive.
You may vary these locations. This is the way I would camp on this journey, or close to it.
The northern route has ice and snow. This way may be warm and cool. You can call KOA for more details and pricing.
