Katie from Los Angeles asked

Best free things to do in San Clemente?

I'm going to be in San Clemente next month and will be on a pretty tight budget. I'm looking for the best free and inexpensive things to check out! I love the outdoors, art, museums, you name it. Thanks!

Mission San Juan Capistrano is pretty cool, lots of history there and not expensive. Walk the beach trail starting at North Beach- free. Go to Riviera Beach or Calafia Beach Cafe. Go down to the pier and walk the pier. The downtown are is fun especially Del Mar Street- lots of boutiques and cafes. Banzai Bowls is my favorite place to eat- acai bowls. and Bagel Shack for breakfast!

Downtown San Clemente, Avenida Del Mar. Super cute Spanish villa feel. It's fun to walk up and down the street. At the end of the street is the San Clemente Pier that you can walk down and a walking trail you can go north or south. Doheny State Beach has a great hidden cave to go see by the Tide Pool and Aquarium museum and Baby Beach is the walking trail to go north along the beach and some rocks to get to the cave opening.
