I'll be driving through Salt Lake City next week and would love some suggestions for the best food- be it a restaurant, food truck, diner, bar... Ideally $-$$.
I want the must have meal Salt Lake City has to offer.
Thanks!
Hands down, it's Cafe Rio Mexican Grill (there are several locations in Utah). It's the locals favorite and you'll quickly understand why.
You'll want to order one of two things.
The Pork Salad with the house dressing OR the Pork Burrito Enchilada style.
And just for fun (and because it's good), tell them you want extra meat (you'll see why).
That will more than likely fill you up, but if you're looking for a appetizer or side the Chips and Queso is awesome.
For the salad or burrito with extra meat your right around $10.
Enjoy!
Market Street Grill - Cottonwood (cottonwood location) seafood at the finest, great Sunday brunch, get the eggs benedict, etc.
Go to Crown Burgers, get a pastrami burger. And FRYSAUCE it's something you've most likely never heard of. But try it on your fries, it's incredible. I moved here 4 years ago. And it's so so good. Hope I helped, drive safe!
Best burger in SLC, which has a pretty good burger scene, is at Lucky 13. It's a cruddy bar, but It's a money burger joint.
Nope, both are wrong below. Best food is Red Iguana, literally- the best mole Mexican ever, seriously go. If not, the Annex is Sugarhouse (great for Epic beer taste tasting) or for breakfast Pig and A Jelly Jar (chicken & waffles, hash, yummy non-Utah drinks) or The Park Cafe. Enjoy.
