Rome

Free day in Rome, what can I do?

March 26. We will be at the city center near Teatro Marcello, the whole day. My sister, her friend and I will want something close by, something teenagers might like so that they can have fun. Also maybe something that might interest me (21years old). We want to try escargot, is there a place with the best escargot or a good menu?

We like adventure, not too expensive though or flashy. Heights-not too high

We like to shop but we do not like to buy super expensive stuff. We like scary things, literally I think we like anything.

We will be there from morning until about 5 or 6 pm.

Hi Perla,

How lucky are you, to find yourself with a free day in Rome? I suggest exploring two of my favorite neighborhoods, monteverde vecchio and Trastevere (http://www.kristagray.com/blog/2014/12/5/how-to-spend-a-perfect-day-in-monteverde-rome)

Some sights to see:

Some places to enjoy (though I don't have experience with escargot):

While the tourist-y sites are fantastic, these zones are an amazing place to get an authentic feel for Rome and the people who live there. Enjoy! :)
