Jen from Los Angeles asked

Central location hotels in Rome for $220 or less a night?

I'm heading to Rome for the first time and would like to book a hotel that's in an area central to sites or easy access to public transportation. Ideally I look for hotels that have at least a small fitness center whenever possible. I will be in Rome Sept 1-Sept 4 before heading to Amalfi.

Siracusa Hotel Rome - it's right opposite Termini so it's very easy to get around Rome - not sure if there is a fitness centre though

Hi Jen,

We made the mistake of staying outside of Rome and not near public transport :(

But today I wrote a blog post for this very question, after researching lots of different hotels, their location and prices, perhaps these might be some of interest:

Relais Orso or Kolbe Hotel Rome or for a bit more maybe Albergo Del Senato. I'm not sure if they have a fitness center though.

Another option, again probably without a fitness center, would be Airbnb. I found some great apartments on my search in the city and in the Prati neighborhood under $200.

Have a fantastic time in Rome... I miss it!

Mandy

Hi Jen!

Look into the InterContinental De La Ville Roma. Great location and a wonderful staff!
