Boutique hotel recommendation in Rome, Italy

Got a great response from our question about Venice, thanks. Already booked a room at the Bauer. Now it's on to Rome. Same question- looking for a boutique hotel that offers balconies and more generous sized rooms than are normally available in Rome. Location not critical but obviously is a plus. We be staying 3 days Oct. 3-5.

Hotel Portoghesi Roma near Piazza Navona or Hotel Mozart Rome near the Spanish Steps are very good. See the Villa Borghese art museum not far from the Mozart. Also Edy around the corner from the Mozart is a good ristorante. Near there is Margutta 51 which is Gregory Peck's apartment in the old movie Roman Holiday.
