We are looking to hire an RV from either Houston or Miami - depending on cost... we plan to visit New Orleans and work our way up to New York. We have already been to Washington/Chicago so looking for some new places. Can you suggest a good route?

I took a three week road trip last year from Brooklyn and will do a month this year. Both times ending in NOLA as I'm buying a house there. Last year I did Memphis (a must), Asheville NC, Great Smoky Mtn Nat'l Park, Shenandoah Nat'l Park (like it much better than Smoky Mtn), Fallingwater near Pittsburgh and then NYC.
This year I'm going Nashville, Memphis again, Florence AL (want to see Muscle Shoals), NOLA, through Georgia down rural highways, Savannah GA, Charleston SC and then home to NYC.
