I'm going to be in Riyadh next month and will be on a pretty tight budget. I'm looking for the best free and inexpensive things to check out! I love the outdoors, art, museums, you name it. Thanks!
Nakheel Mall is dedicated to create a vibrant and unique upscale shopping, dining and entertainment environment for the whole family.
hii, you can visit Kingdom Tower and enjoying seeing all riyadh from the bridge there, and if you want to see old architecture style you can go to Ad Diriyah Province about 10 km from Riyadh, this is a short time trip there my dear :)
there are museums in the old quarter (Almuraba), King Abdul Aziz Historical Centre, and the old city of Dereiah (north-west of Riyadh) -it's renovated in parts there are gardens, and cafes and soon a public library too- note, the weather is not that different from LA, a bit hotter. enjoy! (^_^)

well i would say you have to check National Museum of Saudi Arabia
not very far from it is Masmak Fortress and around the same area you will find traditional shopping places.
you may as well visit historical Aldiriya.
if you can go outside the city then other heritage sites can be ssen but you would at least go for 100 km.
we have lots and lots of shopping malls such as Kingdom Tower Mosque,, alfaysliah tower, etc...
