Heading to Richmond and I'm looking for the best restaurants to try while I'm visiting. Open to all types of food! What are your top places to eat?
Richmond really has some great places to eat, so it could be tough to narrow it down. The first place that comes to mind is a restaurant called Comfort that specializes in southern comfort food. They have a great meatloaf and their fried catfish is great.
Also, if you are in the Church Hill neighborhood, Proper Pie Co. has great savory pies and the chef at The Roosevelt is always ready to impress.

There are some great restaurants in Richmond! If you like authentic, upscale Greek, Stella'son Lafayette is not to be missed. If you're looking for casual American fare with a great beer list, another great spot is Continental Westhampton on Grove Avenue. For authentic Italian, Mamma Zu in the hip Oregon Hill neighborhood is a classic (Edo's Squid, near VCU, is great too). Finally, if you're looking for coffee and pastries (and the best brick oven bread south of NYC), try Sub Rosa Bakery in Church Hill.
