Breanna from Los Angeles asked

Reykjavik: what part of town to stay in?

I'm looking to head to Reyjkavik in March. What part of town is the best for a two week stay? Any recommendations on affordable hotels or Airbnbs?

I'll have to work while there, so only accommodations with private rooms, preferably near cafes.

We got a deal for Downtown Reykjavik which is on the "main drag" Laugavegur, not sure what it's like yet but it looks good!

Guesthouse Isafold is reasonably priced and just the right proximity to all the action. If you'll be there for two weeks, though, do get out of Reykjavik. There's lots more to see. I have a suggested itinerary on my blog.

Any places in particular you recommend outside of Reykjavik?!? I don't want to miss anything!

I stayed at the Hotel Metropolitan Hotel which is a totally bare bones hotel but spotlessly clean and, I thought, in a great location.
