David from New Hampshire asked

Base location

Hi, can anyone recommend a good place to base operations for a bike trip to the Eastern Townships in Quebec. I plan to spend a week biking the various villages and would like to base in one central location to aid in the driving between Granby, Bedford, Lac-Brome, Magog, Coaticook, Sherbrooke, and hopefully I can get in Mont Megantic. Basically, I would tackle a general area for the day (rides are generally 55-75km - using a great tourism booklet as a guide), spend a little time checking things out while riding but end the day at basecamp, hopefully where you have amenities for dinner, relaxing, etc. Based on the map I am using from the tourism agency, it appears Magog is a good site geographically. Would you recommend this locale or should I consider a different site? Thank you.

Quebec (QC)   Magog (Canada)

You could look into something near Ayer's Cliff or North Hatley.
There's Manoir Hovey or Ripplecove Hôtel & Spa for lodging near there.
