I'm attending a wedding in Punta Cana, DR for 3 days in February. I would like some suggestions on daytime activities, perhaps something particularly unique to the area.
Afterward I wanted to hop to another island for 2-3 days and I'm debating between:
Exuma, Bahamas
Virgin Gorda, BVI
Cuba
I would like to see Cuba while it's still in its "preserved" state, but I also have heard great things about the other two destinations.
Which do you recommend between the three?
Where should I go? Any particular cities/towns? Of course if I went to Cuba I would go to Havana but I know there's more to the island...
What activities do you recommend? I'm not super sporty, so nothing too crazy (I like hiking, snorkeling, museums, music), and I love "hidden" spots, not too "touristy".
Oh. And I LOVE food. Any great eateries you can recommend? Again, I'm not afraid of trying things a bit off the beaten path.
Recommendations for specific tour/activity companies would be greatly appreciated because there are so many to choose from.
Thank you!
I've used Gate 1 Travel for past tours and they've been fantastic. I know they have tours to Cuba so you might want to try them.
