"We're old people. We like to dance. Where to go?"
We don't walk with canes, but we're distinctly older than your usual club-going type (he's 50, I'm mid-40s). We'd like to go out dancing but we're not willing to wait in a long line only to be turned away at the door due to our age. We like house, we like trance, we like having drinks to garage or downtempo but not necessarily dancing to it, dubstep makes us think wistfully of Burning Man but is not necessarily what we want to dance to. Is there anyplace in Prague, Budapest or Amsterdam that we can go dancing to current electronic music? We've heard about the parties at the Budapest baths but can't tell if they're fun or "fun."

Nah, you're not old! But if you were actually old, I might say to try the Groovy Cats Swing Dance Club. It's not actually a club, but a sort of school that puts on some great swing events. Also have a look at Restaurant & Music Club Palanca which is a Latin/Tango/Salsa type place with a slightly less crazy vibe than other clubs. If you want to go one notch up, try N11 which is house music, retro, etc. Club Vertigo and ROXY Prague are good for that, too but not sure about the line situation.
