i will be visiting Prague in four weeks time with my wife and 2 year old daughter for 5 days. Any places or itinerary suggestions? Will staying near city center.
Thanks in advance,
Prague 1 (the historical district of Prague) is plenty family friendly. Cool buildings, good people watching!
The Lanová dráha na Petřín | Petrin Funicular (A funicular up a hill to a great view of the city) should be pretty entertaining for your daughter-- when we went up there were some amusing street performers up top.
Also, hit the ZOO Praha | Prague ZOO - you can theoretically walk there from the historical district (we did), but it's a helluva long walk and not too scenic unless you want to see the *real* Prague (which isn't pretty or historic!). It's one of the best zoos in the world... While they did have a set back with some recent floods, it was still fabulous when we visited.
You can easily take a cheap train trip to Kutna Hora (45 minutes, if memory serves), which has the Sedlec Ossuary (a crazy church made of human bones):It also has a gorgeous cathedral... Not terribly entertaining for a 2 year old, but the train ride can be fun.
There are also some nice cruises down the Charles River which can be relatively cheap/fun.

One other place to try which is kid friendly is Soho Restaurant which has a kid-friendly Sunday morning brunch. Kids have face painting sessions, magic show, etc. Worth trying it out.
