I'll be in Porto from November 20-23, that's a Thursday-Sunday. I'd like to find a nice small group tour (or affordable private tour) going up the Douro River to visit a few wineries and have lunch. I'm imagining a day trip but I would not be opposed to an overnight journey by boat, leaving Friday and returning Saturday. However so far all the providers of river cruise tours I have tried are not offering dates in November. So far I have not found any day trips up the river at this time of the year at all, whether by boat, coach or train. Perhaps you have some leads for me? Many thanks in advance!

If you are going up Douro don't miss Quinta de Santa Eufemia http://www.qtastaeufemia.com/ the finest Winery in the whole area... Ask Teresa from that finca Santa Eufemia if she knows about tours. She is the responsible person for guests, she should know.
