I'll be going on a road trip and spending about 24 hours in Portland, ME. I would love some suggestions on must-see places and restaurants. My time there is so short, so I would love to hear what I shouldn't miss. No set budget and we're open to pretty much everything that a married couple with a 5 month old can do. Thanks in advance!
If you're going to be in the Portland area, you have to make the 20 minute drive to Freeport to the LL Bean flagship store. LL Bean is the epitome of Maine. Pick up some Bean boots(if they're not on a 6 month back order). If not, at least grab the Wicked Good Moc slippers, the most comfortable slippers in the world!
The Old Port is a must see, lots of great art and shopping. The Portland Museum of Art is right in the Old Port and always has great exhibits and is small enough to see in just a couple of hours. I recommending eating at Standard Baking Co, OTTO Pizza, and Bao Bao Dumpling House.

Portland is a great town to visit. You should try and take a ride to Portland Head Light If you like lobster rolls I have two suggestions. TryPortland Lobster Company it's right on the water in town. A short drive drive will get you to The Lobster Shack which is right on the ocean. A visit to Old Port is fun....cobblestone streets, old brick buildings and lots of shops and restaurants. Freeport is about a 20 minute ride from Portland. It's the home of L.L. Bean Flagship Store and it's open 24 hours. I hope these ideas were helpful.
