Best places to eat in Portland, ME

I've heard that the seafood is amazing in New England, but are there any specific restaurants I should try?

Portland (Maine)

J's Oyster is pretty good for seafood, specifically oysters and a beer. DiMillo's On the Water is good if you want a "fancy" meal!

So I don't know about Portland (Maine), but I do know some about Kennebunk. It's not terribly far away, so I thought maybe you would want to shoot down to the little coastal town of Kennebunkport (Maine)

I do love the All Day Breakfast in town. The food is so good and makes you feel at home. I recommend Sebago Brewing Co. There was one down near Kennebunk, but I see there's one in Portland!

If you decide to hear down to Kennebunk/Kennebunkport, here are a few posts on my blog from my visit this summer.

1. Visiting Kennebunk Beach

2. Shopping in "The Port"

3. What to do in Kennebunk, Maine

PS - I don't like seafood and am ALWAYS scoffed at by my family in Maine. Anywhere you go, the food will be undeniably fresh. I don't think you can go wrong. :)

Portland, Maine has a great food scene. I love OTTO Pizza, Bao Bao Dumpling House, Duckfat,Eventide Oyster Co., and I hear Central Provisions is a must. Standard Baking Co is darling too. Here is a link to posts with more detail on the food in Portland: http://thekittchen.com/tag/portland/

For seafood, you have to try Dimillo's on the water. The lazy lobster is delicious. You should also try the crab roll. It's cold, fresh and sweet! The lobster bisque and clam chowder are great appetizers.

If you're in the mood for oysters, you have to try Eventide Oyster Co. The best oysters I've ever had!
