Can you recommend a great italian byob in Philly?
Here you go Debbie. My wife and I keep an updated list of our favorite restaurants of all types in Philly. This is our BYOB list, in no particular order. All wonderful and consistent! A lot of BYO's are closed on Monday's so make sure to call ahead. Good luck!
Melograno - wonderful northern Italian
Modomio - modern Italian (hard to get a reservation)
Casta Diva - fresh pastas daily
Porcini - very tiny classic southern Italian
Cucina Forte - best gnocchi in the city. Italian grandma cookin’ in the kitchen.
Mercato- fresh good italian. great cheeses
Branzino Italian Ristorante - get the calamari. Great pastas.

Mr Martino's Trattoria (cash only) for an amazing intimate experience and only open on weekends. Monsu (cash only, Wed-Sun) and Ristorante Pesto both fantastic. Santucci's Original Square Pizza (cash only) has my favorite pizza in the city and great house salads.
