What is there to see in the Peak District?

I've heard about the Peak District of Derbyshire, England, and just want some more info on what is actually there! Thanks!

The Peak District is a beautiful place! There are so many small English villages and lots of things to see and do.

I have stayed in Matlock and Cromford and both are quaint towns with pubs, old mills and B&Bs.

The national park has some great walking tracks up the hills and through the forests.

Chatsworth House is well worth a visit, especially if you are a Pride and Prejudice or Jane Austin fan. Several scenes were filmed here and it is said that this is the estate that Pemberly was based on. The estate is huge. You can visit a small petting zoo/farm, stay on the grounds, walk for miles and see beautiful water features and a maze. Inside is a beautifully decorated home with lots of history.

This is what we did while in the Peak District in October 2013: http://www.neverendinghoneymoon.net/peak-district/

Enjoy!
