I absolutely love the Washington School House Hotel.  It is a small boutique hotel that is just off the main street in Park City.  I have stayed there 4 or 5 times over the past 9 years, and it has recently been renovated.

We usually stayed at Hyatt Escala Lodge Park Cityat the top of The Canyons. The accommodations are beautiful and spacious, easy access underground parking, and ski in/out with ski lockers right on the slopes. There is a seasonal shuttle that runs to downtown and there are various restaurants at The Canyons Resort itself - e.g. The Farm. The hot tub / pool area at the Hyatt is amazing after a day on the slopes!

A place I have heard rave reviews about is  Washington School House Hotel.  Close to the town lift for Park City Ski Area and crazy good location to downtown restaurants, etc.

All hotels are convenient to the slopes in Park City if you have a rental car.  And if you don't want to drive, you can take the city shuttle which stops at or near many hotels.  A good medium cost option is the Park City Marriott, and The Yarrow Resort Hotel & Conference Center is a lower cost option - the shuttle stops right in front of the Yarrow too.  You will not score a ski-in ski out hotel for that price, but not to worry, unless you're at a 5 star place like the Montage, or St. Regis ski-in / ski-out is very over-rated.
