What are the best places for street art in Paris?

Hello,

I would like to discover Parisian street art places during bank holidays in May. Which spots would you advise me to go and see?

Hey Sarah, the best graffiti you will find is around the Canal Saint Martin but if you want to see something spectacular of the sorts I have a feeling that you will love Squat 59 Rivoli It's an amazing artist squat open to the public that has taken over a seven story building in the heart of Paris. You can wander about and make yourself at home and check out all the work the artists are doing. Also to try is Les Frigos Building which is also taken over by artists with tons of graffiti and contemporary art. It even has a cafe there! Hope that helps.

The best street for street art is Rue Denoyez where there are graffer studios and the city lets them spray legally.

Invader is a great street artist who sells maps of his work across Paris and gives tours. Fred le Chevalier sells his collages online, Gregos sells his faces on his website and you can buy MissTic's work at the Gallery Galerie Lelia Mordoch in the 6th.

UrbaColors is an app that will show you all the street art in the city.

Paris has something I've never seen anywhere else - Vertical Gardens. Patrick Blanc is the artist. He designed the Vertical Garden at the Musée du quai Branly as well as Pershing Hall and L'Oasis D'Akoubir on Rue d'Aboukir.

I've also seen interesting street art around the Bassin de la Villette. And of course the Space Invaders are all over Paris. Many of them are deteriorating but there are a few in the Quartier Du Marais
