Hi taking a girls trip to panama city fla from charlotte nc. Hoping to find a cool spot to stay about 2 hours outside of our final destination to stay for the night.
From Charlotte to Panama City (Florida) there are two routes - one of them goes through Atlanta but i personally do not care that much for driving around Atlanta and there's not much two hours north of Panama City that's cool. If you go down to Valdosta you could stop off there and see the Okefenokee National Wildlife Refuge before you went on down to Panama City - it is a little farther than 2 hours from Panama City.
Note: There are three entrances to the swamp. The Wildlife Refuge part costs $5.00. There are drives and walks guided boat trips and an educational center in the refuge. The Refuge is not connected with the Okefenokee Swamp Park Road which is close to Waycross The admission to Okefenokee Swamp Park is $17 for adults and $16 for children.
