Booking a trip to Mallorca Spain, looking for ideas on a budget. Not big into resorts like being with locals near beach. Any ideas?
Santa Catalinais an area within a few minutes walk of Palma city centre, great chilled bars loved by the yachties (those who work on yachts not the guests). Portals Nous is where you go to spend the cash on the port front but has a beautiful beat too where you can rent a standup paddle board from and paddling around the little island out front. A great cycle is from Palma centre along the front cycle route towards El Molinar , you can pick up food to eat on the beach or stop at a cute cafe at the little fishing village along the way. If you rent a car from the airport, super cheap in Palma (try doyouspain) drive up to Deià, a beautiful terraced village passing up through Valldemossa or if you're into cycling put your bike on the train from Palma up to Sa Pobla, cycle up to Alcúdia and then up through the mountains to stay in a monastery at Llucmajor, the next day you can cycle onto a beautiful downhill track, Sa Calobra. Put your bike on the ferry, get over to Soller then cycle up to Deia, down through Valdemossa to Palma (total trip 3-4 days)

I haven't been to Mallorca specifically, but I usually find great deals on Airbnb, roomarama, or hostelworld. Booking.com usually has some good budget options as well. Have a good trip!
