Fun in Palm Springs- where to eat, drink, and shop

I will be taking a quick get away to Palm Springs and would love some feedback on any great DIY boutiques, tasty food and drinks.

The Blue Coyote Grill is fun, great food and really good drinks, but call ahead and make a reservation on the patio. King's Highway has really yummy breakfast.  Canyon Beachwear has lovely swim wear and cover ups and the staff is really good at picking out styles that will look great on you.

Hi Cecilia,

There are some really great new boutiques popping up in the Uptown Design District. This area has seen some big improvements and the north end of Palm Canyon has dozens of restaurants, boutiques and cafes. My favorite shops are Just Modern, Pelago Palm, Trina Turk, and Raymond | Lawrence. Good eats can be found at Workshop Kitchen + Bar, Jake's, Trio Restaurant (all day Happy Hour from 11-7 every day!) and Cheeky's for breakfast and brunch (note: The map to the right shows Cheeky's in the wrong place, it's on N. Palm Canyon). The best coffee houses are Ernest Coffee (serving Stumptown beans) and Koffi North Palm Springs.

Nightlife on the North end is a little quiet but Workshop Kitchen + Bar, Bootlegger Tiki have a great little bar scene. Further south is the hip craft cocktail and whiskey spot simply called Bar (the "Naked and Famous" is a fantastic cocktail if you like mescal). Just down the street is the Tonga Hut with a second floor balcony patio and great tiki drinks and small plates.

A few other favorites are Purple Roomfor dinner and live music, Smoke Tree BBQ Bar & Grill (cook your own meat!) Amigo Room at the Ace Hotel, and El Jefe(for Taco Tuesday shenanigans). These are in the south end but worth a look.

And if you're looking to extend your stay, our favorite home rental is The Esmore Alexander. A great mid-century modern home in central Palm Springs.

Enjoy!

I would look for a hotel that host pool parties. They often change but It's nice to attend one.
