Maggie from Indiana asked

Local food spots in Orlando that aren't at a theme park?

Family vacation again to Orlando. I need good grub not just a theme park. Food trucks, unique, quaint, chefs w/ spunk. Any suggestions?

The Daily City has the scoop on food trucks in the Orlando area. You can find out where they will be on different days of the week on their website.http://www.thedailycity.com/2015/06/slate-restaurant-in-dr-phillips-orlando.html

Giordano's is a great Chicago based pizza place and my favorite pizza!! I used to live in Chicago.  Another place that is great is a themed place, but not at the theme parks, and is really good food and service.  It is called Bahama Breeze, they have really great drinks too.  It is a Caribbean themed restaurant.  There are some great local latin american food restaurants there too.

If it is still open, The Lunch Box downtown - excellent lunch spot.

Emeril's Tchoup Chop is right near Universal Studios and is fantastic.  I would say it is Pacific/Asian Fusion type of cuisine, great sushi also.

I also really liked Cafe Tu Tu Tango the last time I went, but that was at least 5 or 6 years ago.  It is a Tapas style restaurant, but is very quirky and artsy.

Sorry I don't have more suggestions.
