What are the best parks for 4 year olds and 8 year olds in Disney parks and cost?
As an annual pass holder we take our grandchildren there quite often. They range in age from 3 to 10, right in your demo. 1st- Magic Kingdom Park: Stop at the "Be Our Guest" (Beauty and the Beast) restaurant for lunch, no reservation required and very difficult to get in for dinner. If this is your first time you have to hit the It's A Small World ride as it is unique but there are just so many things for children (and adults). 2nd-Animal Kingdom: The safari ride is great for everyone, if it is warm and you don't mind getting wet do the Kalahari Rapids ride, fun! 3rd-Disney's Hollywood Studios: If you get there first thing at opening go directly to the Toy Story ride or at least get a Fast Pass for it. It is an experience even adults like but the Fast Passes go very quickly and by mid-morning the line is looooooong. I've seen up to a 2 hour wait. Oh, and if you have girls be sure they get to see all the Disney princesses for thier autographs. Ask when you first enter the park where the best location to see them or Mickey and Minnie would be. There are designated locations that sometimes change. You really cannot go wrong with children as they will love it all but the Magic Kingdom is oriented more for them than is say, Epcot. That park is more for adults and older children. Your 10 year old would likely enjoy it but not the 4 year old. Regardless, HAVE FUN!!!

Hi Legoland Florida in Winter Garden is a great park that is about 45 minutes from Orlando. 4 and 8 year old kids would love it. Took my nephew who is 6 and niece who is 10. It's a bit different than the Disney Parks but there are great rides, shows, plenty of Lego's, and even an area with miniature city's made of Lego's. The kids will love it.
Definitely Walt Disney World Resort. Not sure about the cost as I went to Epcot about 3 months ago and it cost me about $90. However you better find out on their website. I would also recommend Universal Studios and The Wizarding World Of Harry Potter.
Hope this helps!

I agree ... Magic Kingdom Park is a must. Animal Kingdom is also a good one. Universal Studios is better for teenagers because of the rides but not bad. Disney's Typhoon Lagoon Water Park would probably be fun for them as well.

Costs depend on your length of stay. Best bet to check costs is to go straight to the Disney website. Note: DO not try to buy discount tickets, except from some reputable brokers (or Disney direct). If as ticket deal seems too good to be true, it probably is. At the most you usually just save a few bucks on the legit discounted disney tickets.
As far as parks go for 4 and 8 YO. Magic Kingdom Parkis an absolute must. There is something for all kids at all the parks, this is Disney after all. So even at EPCOT the kids would have fun. It also depends what the kids are into. If they like Animals, then Animal Kingdom, if they like Toy Story, and Disney Channel Junior Shows, then maybe Disney's Hollywood Studiosis a better option.
